Did you know that all humans on planet earth are sales people? It doesn’t need to be a product or a service, people sell their ideas to each other without knowing that the art of convincing is actually a big part of sales.
Do you remember a time when you were sharing a story with a friend and all of a sudden he or she told you: “I don’t buy it”! Using the verb “buy” implicates that you were trying to sell him/her something.
Actually, I have come to discover that nobody gets paid unless somebody has sold something to someone.
Without sales, companies wouldn’t be able to earn money to pay their employees. Without sales, politicians wouldn’t be able to get elected because you have to be sold on their ideas in order to elect them. Without sales, scientists wouldn’t be able to get their projects funded, they have to sell the need for their research topic in order to get the money. Without sales, you would never ask the girl you like out, because she has to be sold on the experience of spending her time with you. Without sales, you wouldn’t be able to stand out in the crowd and sell yourself to land on the job you want. Without sales, leaders wouldn’t be able to inspire.
Sales has become a big part of my life now that I am aware of it. It is a science which needs to be explored on daily basis in every aspect of life. Believe me, when you are sold on an idea you will take actions accordingly.
