By definition, persistence is the continued or prolonged existence of something. If you think about it, you will find those successful people sustain their success by their lack of failure.  By the way, failure, which is the lack of success cannot exist with persistence.

It is a proven fact that, the degree of persistence you put into accomplishing an objective is what will determine if you are going to succeed or not. Whatever your objective is, for example losing weight, increasing your income, closing a deal, landing the job you want or going out with the girl you like. You will have to PERSIST.

If you want to survive in a highly competitive environment, you will need to persist with determination, and keeping on, making changes as necessary.

I know many people who started out of nothing and I am sure you do too. Let me share with you this great quote by Steve Jobs: “I’m convinced that about half of what separates the successful entrepreneurs from the non-successful ones is pure perseverance…. Unless you have a lot of passion about this, you’re not going to survive. You’re going to give it up. So you’ve got to have an idea, or a problem or a wrong that you want to right that you’re passionate about; otherwise, you’re not going to have the perseverance to stick it through.”

This is why you should make a decision of “not to quit”. The temptation to surrender is massive out there. We both know that you are surrounded with negative energy and people who don’t want you to accomplish what they didn’t. Let them quit! Surround yourself with positive energy and keep on persevering.  Believe me, perseverance is more important than intelligence.

Finally, I want to invite you to watch this episode from the Cardone Zone on how to be persistent.

“I attribute my success and wealth to my persistence and unwillingness to fail.” – Grant Cardone
